01
Brief
Working as a team, we created an educational animation that illustrates Disney’s 12 Principles of Animation from The Illusion of Life.
The goal was to explain each principle clearly and engagingly, combining minimal visuals with playful motion.

02
Concept & Execution
Studio Reference: Inspired by studios like Ordinary Folk—simple, modern graphics with dynamic storytelling.
Design Language: Flat shapes, bold colors, and symbolic transitions to make each principle memorable.
Collaboration: Each team member focused on specific principles to keep production efficient and diverse in style.

03
My Contribution
I created animations for three principles:
#4: Straight Ahead & Pose to Pose – showing the difference between spontaneous vs. planned animation.
#6: Slow In & Slow Out – emphasizing natural acceleration and deceleration in motion.
#11: Solid Drawing – reinforcing the importance of volume, weight, and three-dimensionality even in simple designs.
Final takeaway: A collaborative short film that makes the 12 Principles easy to understand, visually engaging, and fun to watch.
